GLOW Restaurant: Grill Lounge Ocean Wine. Hong Kong

In December 2013, we had a family trip to Hong Kong. When we were there, I was lucky to be invited by The Wife's good friend to his new oyster bar restaurant called GLOW, which also means Grill Lounge Ocean Wine. This is located at Shop C, G/F Tung Cheung Building, 1 Second Street, Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong.

It was opened on the 14th December 2013 and its strength is its variety of oysters and other seafood. I am quite a fan of oysters. I know there are variety of oysters that comes from oceans all over the globe but I learned from one of the owners, Keith Ng, that the salinity of the ocean waters contribute to the taste of the different oysters. We had a sample of oysters where I asked for a less salinity of flavours. Eating oysters is always a treat and the oysters were awesome.

Keith also deals in specialty wines, from Italy and they stock quite a wide selection. Ask him to recommend wine to go with your meal of the day.

It is quite a cozy place. On certain nights it can be quite full.

Oysters are flown in daily, be in nice plywood baskets or...

Either way, they are served freshly shucked.

The seafood soup was delicious.

The foie gras was delicious.

We had a nice dessert with wine jelly.

Finishing it off with a nice latte, ho and
