Bali 2013 Part 1: Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali

Every year, the Wife and I will try to go to Bali for a holidays during August-Sept period. Bali has nice weather during these months because of the cold winds coming in from Australia region. as it is winter around this time.

This year, for the first part of our visit, we stayed at the Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali in with The Wife and The Daughter.

Nusa Dua is an exclusive part of Bali, known for its nice hotels. The other place which I have stayed before in this area was the Grand Hyatt.

Nusa Dua can be quite insular. As it cuts you off from the hustle and bustle of actual Bali. In Nusa Dua, there is an area for shopping and dining called Galleria or the Bali Collection. It is definitely catered for the tourists.
The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) 2013 is going to be held in Nusa Dua. There are several reasons for this. One is the number of good hotels and also, the accessibility to this area can be easily controlled.

Coming back to Westin, here are some of the photos of our stay.

The lobby area. On the left is the main entrance.

The entrance to our one-bedroom suite. One the
left is the bedroom. On the right is the living area.
And in front is the dirining area.

The bedroom. And of course, the famous Westin Heavenly Bed.

One highlight of the Westin experience was the Heavenly Bed. It is extremely comfortable. We immediately slept once we lay our heads on the soft pillow.

Westin realised the popularity of their Heavenly Bed and it is for sale at Nordstrom here. The instructions of making their Heavenly Bed is also on the same website. I feel the key to their Heavenly Bed is the mattress. Westin uses Simmons Beautyrest Plush. The rest can be easily obtained from other places.

Another view.

The opposite view of the bedroom. The door leads to the balcony.

I took this because I love lourve doors.

The bathroom.

Another view.

No pinching please.

Coming out from the bedroom, there is this dining area. On the
left is the balcony and in the background is the living area.

Another view of the dining area.

The entrance hallway and the coffee machine on the left. It uses a
very good machine, the Gaggia Breva.

Next to the living area is a small study and a separate toilet.

Another view of the study.

The rest area in the living room. I like this.

A view of the wall sculptor.

Anotyher view of the living area. No living area is complete without
a TV.

 The view from our balcony.

The left hand view from the Westin private beach.

The view from the right.

Part of the pool

Another view from the balcony.

A early morning view of the sunrise from our balcony.

The Westin Nusa Dua Bali is a wonderful resort hotel. They have made our stay there a truly pleasant experience. The facilities, the location and the staff are truly top notch. I would recommend this hotel resort to anyone who plans to stay here or in Nusa Dua.

Part 2 of our trip is where we stayed at the Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali. That will be in another blog.
